    Defra is the UK government department responsible for policy and regulations on the environment, food and rural affairs.
  • Environment Agency
    The Environment Agency is a Non-departmental Public Body which seeks to protect and improve the environment, and promote sustainable development. It reports to both Defra and the Welsh Assembly Government.
  • European Commission
    The European Commission promotes the general interest of the European Union by presenting proposals for European law, overseeing the correct implementation of European treaties and law, implementing common policies and managing funds (including those related to the Common Agricultural Policy).
  • Institute for European Environmental Policy
    IEEP is an independent not for profit institute dedicated to advancing an environmentally sustainable Europe through policy analysis, development and dissemination.
  • Natural England
    Natural England is a Non-departmental Public Body which seeks to conserve and enhance the natural environment, for its intrinsic value, the wellbeing and enjoyment of people and the economic prosperity that it brings. It manages the Environmental Stewardship scheme and reports to Defra.

  • Central Association of Agricultural Valuers
    The CAAV is a specialist professional body representing agricultural and rural valuers, who provide professional advice and valuation expertise on a range of issues affecting the countryside. Paul Silcock is a Fellow (FAAV).
  • Country Land and Business Association
    The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) is the membership organisation for owners of land, property and businesses in rural England and Wales. Cumulus Consultants is a member of CLA and listed in the CLA Business Directory.  
  • Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment
    IEMA is a not-for-profit membership organisation established to promote best practice standards in environmental management, auditing and assessment. Paul Silcock is an Associate (AIEMA).
